Almada, Portugal receives festival with music, dance and graffiti

In September, the Cova da Piedade area will transform itself with the Almada Urban Festival.

Demonstrations of hip hop, street food, an urban market and a concert of The Jams. It will be like this on September 9 and 10, Saturday and Sunda when the Cova da Piedade (Tenente Valadim Street) zone will host the Almada Urban Festival . The event aims to promote urban culture, with music, dance and graffiti.

One of the highlights of the event is the Almada Graffiti Show. For two days he will be able to accompany the live painting of several murals. 15 artists were selected to be part of this project, whose theme is the experiences in the city. On the other hand, for five days Vanessa Teodoro (The Super Van) will create a mural to address the issues of gender equality.

1.PNGBut there is more. Let’s Battle VIII is an urban dance competition that will bring to Almada the best dancers in different styles, in Afro Battle we will have the presence of Blaya Rodrigues. In the middle there is space for an urban market, with several national brands and artists, concerts, DJ performances and even a street food zone.

On Saturday the program runs from 10 am to 1 am on Sunday from 10 am to 9 pm. Admission is free.
